Jaeme Newton was born the 19th of May, 1982 in Green Brae, California. She spent her childhood traveling to various places throughout the western United States with her father (a political satirist, poet and children's book author) and her younger brother. Shortly after turning fourteen, Jaeme and her brother moved to Huntsville, Alabama to live with their mother and other siblings. In this strange new world of trees and humidity, Jaeme began to take herself more seriously then.
In 1998 Jaeme and her family moved to Miami, Florida where Jaeme furthered her study of art in school and began to paint in her home on a daily basis. She was exposed to many different professional artists at this time and spent much of her evenings attending different galleries throughout Miami's various art districts.
Six months later Jaeme's family moved again, this time to Fruitland, Idaho. Jaeme began attending school at Albertson College of Idaho shortly after graduation from Fruitland High School in May of 2000, with a desire to Major in Art and Theatre, as well as minor in graphic design, creative writing, and music. Jaeme withdraw from college for personal reasons in the early part of 2001, however, she still continued to follow her passion for art and music.
Jaeme moved to Somerset, Kentucky where a friend of hers was starting a band named "nemo" in which Jaeme took up the bassist position and toured with 2003. Although art was still a present force in her life, Jaeme took time out to really explore the musical side of her being. In the course of three years, Jaeme produced three LPs , and one full length CD named "Live from the Theatre of Memory", which there are very few copies of today. In 2004, Jaeme moved back to Huntsville, Alabama to be with her family that remained there.
Jaeme has started to take herself less seriously in this past year and spends her time gardening, drawing, and playing music when there's no one to listen.
